Handsome Future is an initiative that we set up in 2012. Over the past 12 years it’s had various formats, but always with one common objective: to identify and help develop emerging talents in the illustration world.
This year we are delighted to have selected two UK artists who we feel have huge potential. Over the next 12 months we’ll be working with both illustrators to help them build more cohesive, dynamic and well-rounded portfolios, with the intention of helping them unlock and fulfil their huge potential.
We’re constantly approached by artists for advice and guidance on how to improve their chances of being successful commercial illustrators. Unfortunately, it’s just not possible to help everyone so we decided to pick two promising artists this year. We will invest significant time and energy into helping shape their talents and giving them direction and full access to our team of agents.
Our 2024 selections:
Molly McCammon
Molly McCammon is an illustrator hailing from Dundee, Scotland. Hugely inspired by mid-century design and printing methods, Molly’s work utilises texture and simplicity with structure and geometry. With a nod to Picasso’s cubism, her work has a warm nostalgia feel fused with a contemporary style.
Her process always begins with a pencil. Working by hand initially to get all the “bad ideas” out on paper, before taking the good stuff to Procreate. Flat layers of colour are then used to recreate the traditional screen-printing methods of the 50's and 60's picture books and advertising campaigns that she loves.
When she’s not drawing (still her favourite pastime, as well as her job), Molly can be found trawling the second hand bookshops of Dundee looking for treasure or talking walks along the North Sea.
Yvette Earl
Yvette Earl is an illustrator based in the North of England, whose work is deeply inspired by her love for the countryside and nature, as well as boutique and outdoor fashion brands. Her intricate line work is beautifully complemented by her adept use of colour and lighting, creating visually striking and detailed illustrations.
Yvette is versatile and open to a wide array of commissions, ranging from architectural work to portraiture. She's open to commissions from editorial, design and advertising clients, bringing her unique artistic vision to each project. Whether capturing the essence of a building or the subtleties of a human face, Yvette's work reflects her passion for artistically capturing the details.

Not only will we be working closely and offering advice and support for the future, but we’ll also be actively promoting them as part of our roster and working together on commercial projects from day one. As both artists have already proven through their independent successes, they are ready and primed to work with our clients with immediate effect.
